I am excited to announce the release of my first book, Tiki: Modern Tropical Cocktails.
It features an introduction to the essential rum and Tiki classics, 65+ original cocktails, including contributions from Jason Alexander (Kill Devil Reef), WIll Elliot (Maison Premiere, Sauvage) and Karen Jarman (Yola Mezcal, PDT), a primer on rums and spirits, and a guide to mapping and building flavor.

When I took my first job in hospitality - as a barista in Providence, RI while studying at the Rhode Island School of Design, my intention was to earn some extra cash to buy paint, brushes and canvas. Little did I know, the Universe had something else in mind for me, and within short order, a passion for making and serving drinks grew from a tiny spark to a smoldering ember that in time burst into flame and well, the rent, they say, is history.
After graduation, I gained notoriety around town for hosting over the top speakeasy style parties in the tiny apartment that I shared with four other artists - we didn't do kegs, but preferred to turn our fridge into an installation piece, stacked top to bottom with 40's, to convert the bathtub to an oversized champagne chiller, and to serve pre - bottled Manhattans in chilled coupes.
I am currently the Beverage Director of Glady’s Caribbean in Brooklyn, keep myself busy leading seminars on the topic of spirits, and am the founder and co-host of Women Who Tiki, a tropical cocktail-centric pop-up that brings teams of guest bartenders together to bring Tiki to the masses.
